I am new here, so I apologize if this is the incorrect forum to post this.

I run my own forum, and have been gradually using the phpMyadmin control panel. I find it very useful. The forum software I am using is Invision Power Board v2.0.

I've recently been getting searched by inktomisearch.com and I am interested in blocking the MAC addresss. As a side note, I'm aware of the robots.txt file that I can use. I know how to <insert> a value in the ibf_banfilters section of the PHP Admin panel. I know you can use terms like name, ip, and email in the ban_type field. What term do I use to let PHP know I'm blocking a MAC address? Or can't I do that?

Blocking a MAC address.... thats a rather interesting way of blocking... Because MAC addresses are as per the Network interface card that the server is using and if the company uses load balancers or change their servers, the MAC address will change. Or if they change their NIC the MAC will change too.

But personally I am unaware that PHP is able to display MAC addresses for blocking.
