Just bought a second hand computer, which works great on windows XP but as soon as i try to load anything the computer freezes.
What could it be.

Thanks

Another guess,

you say you got this second hand computer, do you know anything about it like cpu /memory?

I am looking on these lines, as windows xp uses quite a lot of ram to run, also if you dont have enough memory in the computer that could be a problem, I have always found a min of 512mb or ram to be good.

Sounds like it could be a virus, did it have XP on it when you got it if it did it might be worth reinstalling and starting a fresh

mine is the same

sometimes my internet says 'not responding' each time i download something!

im thinking you maybe have viruses or keyloggers ect.. on your computer your problem is quite similar because my computer alway freeze

then i told a friend and that intruduced me to geeksquad.com
those guys know everything about computers you name it

everything..

i called and hired one.. they really fixed my computer!!

it goes super fast... fast downloading no matter what
fast gaming ect.. fast surfing..

i hardly knew what he was doing but.. he inserted a ship into my moniter..

anyway if your computer freeze like that i recommened you scan it
