I have an old computer that want to give it away. How do I erase everything from it? Just bought WipeDrive but seems doesn't work since the computer doesn't have Adobe Reader anymore and no internet connection to dowload it (that computer uses dial up and now I have dsl).
Help !!!!! At this point don't know what to do.

don't suppose you know how to go in and make a copy of backup disks then use those to reformat the hardrive.you won't loose windows.otherwise go in to my computer add remove programs and delete what you don't want if your unsure about a item leave it
Try Darik's Boot N Nuke. It's free, easy to use, and it worked for me. You can download either a bootable floppy or CD image. Make sure you go into the BIOS settings and set the appropriate boot sequence.
