ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life??? say E6400 at 3ghz?

or if u want to take extream overclocking a E6400 at 3.8ghz (this is for example)so pretty much overclocked to the max while still stable how long do u think they'll last before they jst die(years, months, days?)?

so jst generally 2 questions kinda

1. ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a modirate overclock say a E6400 at 3ghz

2. and second a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a extreame overclock max until unstable say somewhere between 3.4ghz-3.8ghz(depending on ur cpu)

The best advice i can give you is not to overclock, basically when you buy your processor which is a 3ghz, it will ahve been manufactured as a 2.6ghz for example and then the manufacturors then overclock it to boost it up to 3ghz.

You then overclocking it some more means that unless you have the correct cooling equiptment you processor will gradually strain.

I think they say that overclocking can sometimes almost half the life of your processor

If you can get it to run @ 3 GHz without crashing and keep the cpu cool it should last for a few years as opposed to a decade..
So far I haven't heard of anyone getting an E6400 OC'd much past 3.25 GHz without it crashing

on air cooling yes, chilled water cooling maybe 3.30 - 3.40GHz, phase change cooling you can really push it ! and Liq N may be closer than you think ?

I think the water cooling tubes would work best tbh. Can anyone help me at all? I'm buying my first pc soon and want to do some stuff to it. Can you recommend any good graphics cards?
