ok so we have confirmation that the monitor is not at fault, get a magnifying glass on the circuit board of the graphics card and just ceck nothing has fried it should be ok and make sure none has seeped into the socket, water corrosion with an active current can knock alot out so give it a good check and let us know

thanx for the reply, i checked the card everything looks fine, apart from a bit of dust the card looks brand new nothings seems to be out of place or burnt out.

hmm ok then you need to which may have done aleardy check the surrounding parts of the motherboard, also if you can try another graphics card if you have one in that computer we need to do this as a rocess of elimination

I looked around the motherboard doesnt seem to be anything that stands out to be wrong, i will have to buy a card to test it, my old card was a 256mb Radeon X600pro PCI-Express, just for testing can i not buy a cheap card such as a 32mb PCI card or equivilant? thanks again
